Editor: The syslog server stores operating system logs from the entire enterprise in a central depository. In the database the entries can be inspected and analyzed using Datagram's powerful SyslogView.
Here is a one page flyer of Syslogserver Suite.
SyslogView supports easy and powerful filtering capabilities, called Quickfilters, which allow you to quickly choose a personal view of data that currently interests you. From SyslogView alarms can be defined by a few mouse clicks, and complemended by user SQL syntax if desired.
All network Equipment and Unix flavors supports the Syslog protocol (RFC 3164). For Windows servers and clients a small service, Datagram SyslogAgent, is added in order to provide support for Syslog.
With SyslogServer you can, for instance, instantly check if any hard drives reports errors - enterprise wide! And even better, define an alarm so that you get notified by email, with complete reference to the errors.
The SyslogServer can parse several thousand entries per second on a Modern computer, with receiving capability only limited by Network Bandwidth. In our experience, only busy firewalls with debug logging settings should be omitted with this solution.
